Well even though I like finding the answers in a book I actually like watching the movie.I did find it very helpful because you got to follow one man/fathers life exprenice throughout the movie. It is weird how you saw it when his world was all happy then it went right down the drain when the loyalits came knocking on his door. So yes I would say that The Patriot help me understand it better.
ReplyDeleteIt don't know any thing that could have help me better because it was all so easy. I think if i had payed a little more attetion during class I would know more stuff off the top of my head but I wouldn't change anything
YES it was helpful watching the movie because we got to learn and see more of how it use to be in the old days and how they fought. WARS where very danger over there and they showed us how they use to fight them and get thru it.

I think watching the patriot helped me to greatly understand what happened way better then the text book. Now I know how the guerilla tactics worked n how it helped them get closer little by little to the victory. Then when the French came for that short amount of time it shows you how they helped out.
ReplyDeleteWhat would've helped me to understand this movie even better is if they showed you what actually happened just with the same actors like was that really how they did war just stand there looking stupid n letting the other people just shoot you instead of ducking.
I did find it very helpful because you got to expirince another mas life and what he was living like. But as far as i seen the movie a million of times i understand it perfectly and yes it helped me understand the American Revolution and how the British wanted to kill the Colonist just for their land and all those things. The movie "the Patriot" is showing you not to give up no matter what happens you have to fight for it.
ReplyDeleteYes it was very helpful to me. Instead of looking for the stuff in the movie we got to see it. Like the battles they had and how somebody may have live back then like the houses. Well that’s why it helpful for me.
ReplyDeleteI do not think anything would have helped me better the watching the movie. I say this because we got to see what might have happened and we got to see Garllia tactics not just in pictures.
1.)Watching the Patriot movie was helpful to me. It was helpful because I got to see all the action. Also because I could really see what they try to do to beat the British. They mostly ambushed the British. But it work out alright. The British had ambushed the Patriots once in the movie.
ReplyDelete2.)I think that nothing else could have helped me understand this movie better. Unless we relived that moment. It would have been good to see a play about it. They play would haved worked out just like the movie. But it was still good the way you did it.
Yes it was because it was funny to watch and it paint the the picture that i could not have gotten from by reading the text book and like once you watch it easy to remember so you dont even really have to right all the answers down at once you can you can wait intill the end of the movie

1.)Yes and no because it was real and unreal. It was real because it was what we learned about. It was unreal because of the characters, and how Benjamin Martin helped the soldiers.

No it was not helpful because mostly every thing I saw in the movie I read in the history books. All the things that happens in the movie was fictional. The only part that was true was the war between the British and the Americans. But Benjamin Martin is not even a real person. Overall the movie did not help me.
ReplyDeleteTo teach more things that ore non fiction. So that we can understand what really happen. Because that movie was good but it was fiction. Right now i prefer to read then to see what really never happen. So what would help me learn more will be to read more history books.
The Patriot was helpful because I understood more who was fighting who.During this unit what could helped me more is watching more videos because I would had a little more understanding of everything.

Yes watching the movie of the patriots was helpful because I learned about how bad it was back in the day and the others were not able to do what was right for them like they had to follow the rules that the govern had made them to follow even if the rules had affect them they still had to follow the rule that was giving to them.
ReplyDeleteNothing was able to help more than watching the movie because when they showed what the war was more about it showed me that a lot of people died for things that hade nothing to do with them.
YES! It was helpful to me because i got to see what happened in the old days and how they fought through the war. I liked the movie ALOT, it made me cry, and I think that watching the movie made me know more about the American Revolution and how things went down back in the day.

Watching the movie Patriot was a little helpful.But the one thing I would say is that the only people who knows the real story, are the ones who were either fighting in the war or leading.
ReplyDeleteDuring this unit the one thing that could've help me have a more understanding of the American Revolution is better text books. The text books seem to have been around for some time now teaching many of the American history. But I would say that even though I prefer watching the movie better I still don't think I've learned enough.
Watching The Patriots was very helpful because I got 2 learn more about how they fought back in the day. I could see that it was very helpful and very understanding 2 us. The American Revolution was very dangerous back then. The Patriots was showing me about the people like Benjamin that got stabbed at the end that never gave up even though he got stabbed in the back and in the arm.
ReplyDeleteI think watching the movie was good because watching actual people do what colonist did back then. Another reason its helpful is because we get more entertainment then reading a boring book. Another thing i liked about it was that it said the answers to the question clearly and we didn't have to keep rewinding the movie, because in the book we could have to read over and over.
ReplyDeleteDuring this unit what helped me understand was the movie and when we went to the play. Another thing that helped is when we played the game in the gym.
1. It was very helpful. The movie gave me a visual understanding. The words in the text books just gave me a mental understanding. It was very detailed and the movie was great. I highly recommend this movie to all 8th grade students all over the world.
ReplyDelete2. Nothing would have helped more than everything else had. A field trip to historic battle grounds could of helped. Other than that everything else was educational, fun and exciting.
I think that whaching this movie was a very helpful thing to do. I think that if i would of never whach the movie it would of been a big confusion for me and i would of gotten a bad grade.

You got to see a little more then just war, too. you got to see a little love, a little sadness. There were happy time and sad time. It was really a good movie. It did help me understand a lot.
